Did you look at the pump to make sure it only has four discharge ports and not six? Or better put, you said it's for four cylinders. Just asking how you verified that.
Again, a DC (double) pump on a four cylinder engine does not make much sense.
I checked through some DC pump numbers. There weren't many made and it came out in 1967 and was originally made for Deere. For IH, I find a DCGFC627-4JN used on a six cylinder model 1486 tractor. Same #s as what you gave except for the "6" for six cylinders.
