Everyone, The boys started with engine overhaul. This tractor ran great, tons of power, but burned oils. So, we pulled the head thinking it would be values or rings. Opened it up and it has a IH Power CRater kit in it, rear two cylinders were very clean, Fron one had oil sitting on the piston, and second one looks like it has had oil being burnt. Anyway, I the sleeves, seem lose in the block, as we turned the engine over without head on the sleeves in 3 of the 4 cylinders pushed right out. The #1 cylinder seemed to have a ton of oil in between the sleeve and the cylinder block. Could it be possible to have oil being pushed up into the combustion chamber in between the block and sleeve? What should we do if the sleeves are not tight?
We have worked on H"s Before and never had sleeves just come out unless the engine was locked up and then sometimes the sleeves would come out with the pistons. I have never had dry sleeves come out just by pulling on them wiht my hands.
So, Should we have the blocked bored and put in over sized (OD) Sleeves? or just try to put new sleeves & Pistons in and hope it fits properly, or last option, hone the block and slid in old sleeve, rering the pistons and try it? Sleeves and pistion look great, just come out easy.

Experimentation, from the most complex assembly to the most simple and mundane component, is as an integral a part of any farm tractor's development
