The housing part number changed between the Super A and the Super A1. With those 2 models, the transmission housing and any internal transmission housing parts that the final drive touches are the same. I hardly see how the final drive is going to care what the other sides of the transission housing is bolted to.
If there are any critical differences, they have to be attaching holes or things like that. If so, changing the whole back end won't make it better. You need to carefully compare the two housings for external differences.
In any case, you would need the later Super A housing for the toggle brakes.
