that i believe is the lever on the left side of the steering box, throttle on right side.the left lever should be down i believe for decompression or gas.have so many tractors always need to think the way each one operates as the wd9 is oppositte the wd6.you would tell also by using the starter. it will crank slow if its still on the diesel.as far as an actual knob to pull i dont think it applies to the swd6 as i have never seen such a thing.to get it started have it on decomp. turn on ignition switch, pull choke on, and push starter lever. usually need to vary choke or keep half on till it starts gaining rpm. then let it warm up on gas for a min. or two and switch to diesel by lifting decom. lever and you will hear it click, and open trottle the right lever about half. she will be running on deisel now. push in ign. switch.
