I think you have an easy fix. The Ignition switch button (if stock switch) is a nickel sized mushroom headed push pull switch. This is inside the electrical box, or on the light bar. it has small 12 gauge wires attached. One to the ignition unit you installed (black wire), and one to the hot (negative) side of the starter switch. (if the starter switch is on the starter, it will be the only terminal there. If it is a push button starter switch it could be on the light bar, or in front of the light bar with a rod pushing it. In all cases the wire from the battery neg to this big switch is the place to hook up the wire to the mushroom shaped ign sw. JimN
