I hope I did not give the impression that I was an expert on gennys...thus the "if possible" portion of my comment. The genny I am most familiar with is a 6v, 3 brush, single post genny with a screw on the back which you turn to adjust the third brush up or down. So I took a walk thru the snow and took a look at the Cub here and it has two wires and no adjustment that I could see. My service manual references another manual when it comes to the electrical system so no help there. Maybe your manual will be more helpful. For my part, I have to start shopping out this second manual....more $$$! Got to love a Cub.
