I think he is incorrect.

I finally got the ambition to look it up. The parts diagram does not show a break for that item, but does show a break when they upgraded the bowl from metal to glass. Here are your p/n's

14 1 49653DC STRAINER/Retired FUEL STRAINER WITH 2 NUTS, 29899D (S/N 501 to 50865)

14 1 358245R91 STRAINER ASSY. FUEL STRAINER WITH NUT, 29899D (Will work for 51066DCX) (Gasoline)

14 1 58361DB STRAINER ASSY. FUEL STRAINER WITH 2 NUTS, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 50866 up)

14 1 58372DX STRAINER/Retired FUEL STRAINER WITH 2 NUTS, 29899D (Metal bowl type) (Distillate or kerosene) (Field change only) (S/N 501 to 50865)

Here is what the book says for the little tank. He may be on to something since they switched to a different needle valve, but there is only a needle valve, no strainer, from day 501.

17 1 49654DX FUEL TANK NEEDLE VALVE WITH NUT 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 501 to 15743)

17 1 55474DX VALVE GASOLINE OR FUEL TANK NEEDLE VALVE 55474D WITH NUT, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 15744 up)

17 1 55474D GASOLINE OR FUEL TANK NEEDLE VALVE (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 15744 up)

The fuel lines all say from gas tank to stainer as well. The upgrade to overcome vapor lock from corn picker is peculiar.

18 1 58367DAX FUEL PIPE - gasoline tank to strainer with 2 nuts, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 50866 up)

1 222-503 TUBE NUT FUEL TANK NEEDLE VALVE COUPLING NUT (Distillate or kerosene)

1 52643DX PIPE/Retired FUEL PIPE - fuel tank to strainer with 2 nuts, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 501 to 15743)

1 55475DX FUEL PIPE - fuel tank to strainer with 2 nuts, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 15744 to 50865)

1 58368D GASOLINE TANK, fuel tank, pipes and strainer field change package (To overcome vapor lock when tractor is equipped with corn picker) (Distillate or kerosene) (S

1 58369D GASOLINE TANK, pipes and strainer field change package (To overcome vapor lock when tractor is equipped with corn picker) (Distillate or kerosene) (s/N 15744 to

Here is the distallate to carb line.

15 1 52644DX FUEL PIPE - strainer to carburetor with 2 nuts, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 501 to 50865)

15 1 56451DX FUEL PIPE - strainer to carburetor with 2 nuts, 29899D (Gasoline)

15 1 58366DX FUEL PIPE - strainer to carburetor with 2 nuts, 29899D (Distillate or kerosene) (S/N 50866 up)

Today's Featured Article - The Cletrac General GG and the BF Avery A - A Bit of History - by Mike Ballash. This article is a summary of what I have gathered up from various sources on the Gletrac General GG and the B. F. Avery model A tractors. I am quite sure that most of it is accurate. The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac. ... [Read Article]
