My Buddy and i run a 1066 that i sold him ten years ago on a New Holland 782 that we saved from the scrap man and totally rebuilt we pull 18 foot H$S rear unload wagons over here in the humps and bumps of N./E . Ohio the 1066 is tweaked a good bit and we can run low third with the stick ahead most of the time in really good corn as long as the knifes and shear bar are set . The 10 Knows it is back there . So the more pony power ya have up ft. and weight the better off you are if you want to make time as for running it with a 100 Hp. it will do it but you will be running in the low side of second . As we had to put the 806 on the chopper one day and my 806 is tweaked to about 115 Hp. and it was lots of smoke and second low with the stick back. So nothing less then a 1066 or 1086 and make sure that what ever tractor your using is well weighted as them wagons get heavy fast and will shove you around .
