May have a M crank in it, wouldn't be the first one stuck in a C264 or 281 block. Can you read the numbers on the back of mains? If its a standard size small journal crank from a M tractor find a casting # on the side of a crank throw. If it ends in DC or a letter lower than C, it came as a small journal crank. DD or DE etc is a big journal. Some cranks IH sold as .030 under may have another # or letter. As Owen said big and small journal cranks will fit 248 through 281 blocks, if the matching bearings are used.
