Oooooo, that's a tuff one. Being 'bi-tractoral' (I own both red and green) I'd be hard pressed to make that decision. I'm guessing they're roughly comparable in power. The JD is a tad larger physically I think. Does the M have 3-point? I can't recall if they came with it or if it was an option. If so, I'd lean toward the M due to new engine and the fact that you can buy about anything in the way of equipment if you have three-point. On the downside, for reasons I've never been able to fathom, that green paint is expensive. If they're comparably priced, and the JD has a three-point hitch, I'd get the JD.
