Dell- There are a few things that I know attach to that part of the torque tube, but I don't believe any are part of the cultivators. The fertilizer hopper bracket mounts there, and the main fertilizer/planter frame mounts on the next set of bolt holes closer to the driver. Also, the snowplow uses a flat plate with a brace that mounts on the flat square surface you specified. Please post a picture of the part you have and I will be glad to help you try to identify it. I have an original A-144 cultivator manual I can look in if I see what the part looks like.
