Well before i would go thru all the work of swapping engines out and putting in a engine that i have know idea on how it was taken care of i would rebuild mine as long as it did not have a VIEWING ports out the side of the block and the crank was not totally shot . then you know what you have and if you do the work yourself and if ya need a little help even if you have to pay someone to help you over the rough spots of the rebuild i think you would be way ahead.
