I've used a product called KREEM which can be bought at motorcycle shops. For a tractor tank, you might have to buy 2 or 3 kits. The wash is phosphoric acid, which I have seen at hardware stores (hint, hint), diluted with water and allowed to work overnight. The wash bottle will do one motorcycle tank. The acid wash is then flushed with acetone (in the kit). The bottle of coating itself will do about 2 motorcycle tanks so you might get by with 2 bottles. I think I saw the flush and coating also sold seperatly.
