The M did not come from the factory with live PTO or live hydraulics. Live hydraulics were not standard until the Super M in 1952 or 53. Live or independent PTO did not come out until the Super MTA in 1954.
The hand clutch you see on some Ms is an aftermarket clutch made by the M&W gear Co. or Heisler Mfg.
