the m is a pretty reliable tractor, there were bunches of them sold. about the only weak point is the steering does wear out and gets wobbly going down the road. the very late m's just before the super m came out had disc brakes, and an updated front timing cover and stronger camshaft gear to accept the live pump. also there were quite a few aftermarket goodies you could add on to the tractor and make it easier, and or more versatile. 9 speed, power steering, m+w hand clutch (kind of gave it a live pto). good solid tractor, about 35 hp at the drawbar. i have 3 of em.
