I have an attatchment for my slide hammer kit that adapts vice grips to the end of the slide hammer. Put a screw or screws in the seal and pull it with the slide hammer. Also a cheap auto body dent puller will do the same thing. Be careful when drilling and putting screws into the seal as to stay away from the shaft.
