Forget the gear reduction starter. I don't think anyone makes a "stock appearing" gear reduction starter. It would be 12 volts anyway. Just convert it to 12 volts and be done with it. Mine has been that way for more than 30 years. Unless you are running some ungodly compression in a pulling engine the 6V starter on 12V will crank it fine. If you are trying to satisfy the "correct police" there is a 12V equivalent for everything on the tractor. The generator is hidden, put a lid on the battery box and no one will know.
