do you have a bypass block installed but no longer plumbed correctly? They are meant to divert the hydraulic pressure from the pump to an external valve for remotes and then from that valve to the touch control unit. Once the block is installed, you need an external hose loop if you do not use an external valve with it. Any on-farm customized hydraulic plumbing done by the previous owner can give strange results if you do not know how it was meant to work, although the customizer may not have known what he was doing either.
If you don't have any external plumbing causing issue, you may have missed something when inside such as not cleaning a hidden passage or improperly installing valve. At this point, it's likely something simple that will cause the most difficulty. By your pictures posted before, cleaning and disassembly was not in vain.
