The oil light on my F504 would come on with the engine idled at 600rpm. I got a good mechanics gauge kit and got readings both fast and slow rpm and cold and hot. After searching the forum I read about the oil pump cover being warped and the cure for this problem. I tore it down yesterday and sanded down the cover using the sandpaper on a piece of glass technique and it worked like a charm. I now have 38psi @ 600rpm. That is a 22psi increase. A very respectful thank you goes out to everyone who discussed this matter in the past. The amount of good information on this site will never cease to amaze me. Thanks again.
