If these guys are experienced in old tractor heads, then "never mind" but if they are hot rod experts you might want to re-evaluate heads you have been throwing away.
Lot's of people are throwing away good cracked heads so they will get more valuable pretty soon.
Exactly. You could take your pick of ANY excellent running H Farmall, remove the head, and there WILL be stress cracks in that head. Put it back on the tractor and it'll be good for another 50 years.
