Yes, if the TA clutch is slipping you will notice it in direct drive. If the TA sprag [?SP] one way clutch is slipping it will be with the lever back. Most times when TA's are said to be out it is in the rear lever or TA position. The tractor will stop when the TA lever is pulled.
