look at oil condition and or check coolant condition. dark contaminated coolant, or let engine settle for a day or more and pull oil drain plug and see if coolant comes out. also what someone else mentioned is start it up and run it and look if you have bubbles being forced up in your radiator. now there is a thingy you can buy that sticks into your radiator fill(forget what it's called) fairly cheap cone shaped thing that will sense C0 in your coolant and shows it on an indicator,try googling it. also just smell the white smoke if it has a sweetish coolant smell thats a dead givaway..this is one more waything, but if you know someone in the automotive repair business with a 4 or 5 gas analyzer have them stick the probe at the fill of the radiator without touching the coolant and look for C0(carbon monoxide) readings... these are just a few things that you can try...
