Most likely your mag coil is deceased. That was a common fix, and your magneto is now working soley as a distributor. The mag can be rebuilt, coils are available, but they"re not real cheap. Wiring is straight forward on those cubs, but the old adage is that once you take the hood off, you find more and more stuff to do... next thing you know, you"re completely restoring it. Oil filters are availble from NAPA. Just out of curiosity, do you intend to keep the cultivator? I"m looking for one for sweet corn this year. Drop me a line.
