One of my concerns was the attaching point for the top link. I've seen some official 3-point kits, and they use a section of "C" channel over the rockshaft, it u-bolts to the rockshaft, and the top link ears are welded to the channel iron.
I always assumed this meant the rockshaft was too weak in the center to take the pounding from the 3rd link.
Hugh's design doesn't use the reinforcement to the rockshaft. So it must be OK to attach like he did, u-bolt "ears" to the center of the rockshaft ???
I took a set of points, and welded TISCO Cat I eyeballs to them, got a short 3rd link, or use a chain when possible.
