The concept has already been conceived and many M thru 660 FWA's have been built. The early Elwoods would interchange between models in that size/line of tractor with only minor modificatiions.
Goto the archives in Classic View and search on Elwood. Plenty of pictures including internal shots of the transfer case.
No H sized FWA's were built. If you wanted to build one based on the Elwood design, I think you would need $10,000-$15,000 to build the first one. They might be cheaper after that because the patterns and tooling would have been developed.
