could be starving for fuel. you have been getting debris in the bowl, disconnect the fuel line where it goes in the carb, and take the second fitting out. there is a screen in there and it could be all plugged up. if that checks out, hook it all back up, then on the lower part of the carb bowl is a small pipe plug. (if its a distillate carb, it will have a petcock) get a can and remove the plug and let the gas run out for a minute or so, you should have a steady strem. if not you have a blockage, look to the sediment bowl, lot of times rust flages will plug the intake on the sediment bowl.
