My manual says 22 degrees for engine numbers prior to 4484, 20 degrees for engines numbered 4484 and up. 25 degrees for C153 LP gas engines.
Also heads up incase you didn't know...if you happen to have low oil pressure the C153's oil pump's bottom plate is prone to warping, leaking, and loss of pressure. It's a pretty easy fix and discussed in these archives. Good luck
