I gotta guess that the gasket, that I see has ruptured, is a symptom of something going on deeper inside the guts of the pump. Correct? Is this something that can be resolved with some new Napa O rings, or am I in for a trip to the Case IH dealer. The online parts breakdown doesn't show the guts of the pump, and the view in my service manual only refers to a "seal and gasket package"...
Also, What else do I need to be paying attention to when I tear into this thing?
Thanks for the help fellas. I'd like to get my plowing chores done before the next rain storm pops in next week.

All that replacing the gasket will accomplish is to make sure the oil is forced into the distributor. You need to repair the leaking seal on the back of the pump to keep the oil out of that area.
