The pitman arm has to come off before the lower half of the casting can come off... Need to remove the front axle also... It is often easier to support the tractor under the bellhousing on a jack stand and pull the whole front end off.
Once the steering shaft is out, the axle off and the pitman arm off you can unbolt it and work it apart. There are 2 locating dowels.
Once in there there isn't much. The bushing in the casting you removed... Sector gear is keyed to the shaft and has a bearing on it which is held in the upper casting by a retainer held in place with 3 bolts.
