Whenever a certain part is upgraded or improved, that part then gets a new part number, or a suffix is added to the old part number to reflect the improvement, and then the old design is made obsolete and no longer manufactured. I will guess that the part number for the original M cam gear is 6760, and the db suffix reflects the upgrade to 450 standards.
