I just went out to start my 1206 for the first time since last fall. When I started it up I had no powersteering and no brakes. It does move in the high side of ta. I took out the plug on back side of mvc pump but nothing came out when I started it up, let it run for a while and nothing. I checked the hydraulic fluid it was about 2 gallons low so i stuck about 5 gallons in it so nows its about 2.5-3 gallons over filled. still nothing.
A little history, the power steering has always been slow to get going when started. a couple of times last summer i had to bleed the system(plug on backside of MVC pump) after sitting. even last summer when bleeding the system it hydraulic oil never really seemed to shot out like other tractors i have had to bleed out.
1st thing i'll probably do is change the filter but im really doubting thats the case becuase i doubt i have more than 25 hours on that filter.
I guess im just wondering what to else to look for. Is my pump shot????
If i need to take the pump out how much HY-tran drains out of the TA housing plug.....just wondering so i have enough buckets around to ketch it. thanks in advance.
