Drain the rad. and fill it with water. Add a half cup of Draino and run the engine at a high idle. When it is warmed up for awhlie stop the engine and drain the rad. Refill with water and add a half of cup of baking soda. Run the engine again till warm and then drain it again. Refill it with coolant and go on with life. IH use to sell a flush that came in a two part can in the 60's and the 70's. It had drain cleaner in one end and baking soda in the other!
