Hi Mike, can't really comment on the industrial 3414 but the ag B414 model the only way to drain the hydraulic reservoir is by taking the suction line apart at the top of the transmission by gear shift lever. If you look at suction line at top of transmission, you will notice a a couple of hose clamps on a rubber sleeve. Clean all the dirt from that area, spray a little lubricant on the engine side of the rubber sleeve, have a bucket ready, loosen the hose clamps and slide the sleeve towards engine and rotate the section of suction tube that goes to the hydraulic reservoir around so that it will drain into the bucket. After fluid is all drained the suction tube can be pulled out of the reservoir and the suction filter will be on the end of the suction tube. Replace with IH Hytran or equivalent hydraulic oil.
The drain plugs on the bottom of tractor are for transmission and differential lube which should be 80 or 90W transmission lube. I am not 100% sure about the transmission as I know later model industrial 3444s used the transmission as a hydraulic reservoir but the ag models used standard transmission 80 or 90W oil.

Once started it putted along pretty good. It
