The line to the manifold on my 584 was clean, but the manifold side of the connection was full of hay. I cleaned it out and was able to bleed the filters like the manual described. I"ve also found that I can"t run it below 3/8 of a tank or it"ll cut out, presumably due to it gravity feeding to the filter manifold.
