Though it is a struggle, it is good that it is tight, many come loose and cause dramatic looseness at that point. A torch to heat the outside of the joint to beyond touchable, but not roasting the grease, a puller that will reash under the arm, and or a solid strike with a drift punch and 2 pound hammer on the side of the joint is what I use.
