Couldnt tell ya as my 14 already had been rebuilt when I got it back, but the guy who rebulit it has done probably 100 12s and 14s. Last time I saw him working on one, he had gotten the psitons out, and drove a wooden block he special cut to fit in the sleeve from the top. With his big pipe wrench he turned the sleeve and it pulled right out. Not sure just how bad the engine was to start with, but only took him about 20 minutes to pull all 4 sleeves.
