If the question is the tractor has the regular hydraulics but you don"t plan to ever use them for anything. Can the power steering be run from the system without a priority valve? Yes, tie or block one of the control valves to a pressure position. Hook the outlet line with pressure to the steering unit pressure port and the return line to the other outlet line. Valve set to double acting. Have checked the steering units on dead tractors by parking another tractor beside and running long hoses to the steering unit from the remote outlets.
