Does your 400 have a gas cap with a gauage in it? If so you need to take a good look at the cork float as it could be breaking apart and pieces getting suck into the outlet and shuting off the fuel flow. We had this happen on our 400 back in the 60"s and went back to the orginal gas cap. Armand
