My experience is just the opposite of Bob's... Dad had a JD 60 with a Charlynn with a Saginaw pump and it worked great. My 240U has a priority flow divider and at idle the steering is jerky... rev it up a little and it's okay. I also loose the 3 point at an idle, no doubt because all the flow is going to the steering. Maybe the pulley ratio on the 60 was better than on an M.
