ive lived in fort dodge all my life. i have herd of the coats company (dad worked there for 20yrs ) but thay made tire changers there from 56 to around 74 or so then moved to tenn to pay lower wages. coats may have been making loaders before that. may be the for runner to stanhoist. back in the 40,s 50,s there was alot of farm machinery bilt in this town. Today's Featured Article - Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
