Tractor vet, where do you suggest then that we aquire knowledge from experts? You are an expert (which you have very well informed us) and I do not doubt that you are. But by "newbies" asking questions on this forum where experts provide such valuable advice is no different than what you said you do when you do not know, which is finding and asking an expert. Are some of the questions elementary for you? Yes. But a person has to start somewhere. I'm sure, at age 14, you were asking questions some experts deemed as silly, but them answering your questions helped you to be the expert you are now. Tearing into a project and getting in to far isn't a bad thing. I think its when you learn the most. And sometimes its a little help from the "experts" who have been there and done that a thousand times that teach the biggest lessons. It is great that a younger generation who may not necessarily have grown up with any of these vintage farmalls is even interested in them now. I've never met you, and I'm pretty sure you are an expert, I have read your posts. Don't discourage newbies from asking questions, or discourage them from taking on a project. Thats the way we learn, the way we ALL learn.
Oh and one more thing, I have a 621B case payloader that has 13000 hrs on it. Never been opened up and still runs like the day it was deliverd to our feedyard. Runs and probably a bit abused everyday. I'm 25 and still learning! Thanks to you and all others who do really help us out in a pinch!
