A couple things to look for. First, independent PTO was an option, if it has IPTO there will be a horizontal lever on the right side of the seat with a button on the end of it. Non-IPTO has a different lever. T/A is nice, but probably not necessary. I have a non-functioning T/A on my 300U, and don't miss it (yet). As one of the other fellows said, you will want power steering with a loader. The steering box is reported to be the weak spot on these tractors, and I would concur, mine is getting kind of sloppy in its old age, but who isn't? They were produced in 1955 and 1956. If it has a fast-hitch you can convert that to 3-pt very easily, by adding the 3-pt inserts for the fast hitch and adding a top link attachment, which may already be there. In western Washington, $2300 is a very good price for that tractor and loader.
