Same thing, only different.
The drive trains are for the most part the same. The 1486 has larger axles and bull and pinion gears. There are a few bearings that are heavier but the TAs and transmission gears are all the same. The 14 has a 14" clutch, the 9 has a 12" clutch. The 14 has more discs in the the brake assemblies.
The turbocharged engines have 12 piston cooling jets, naturally aspirated engines use only six. The pistons are different. They used different cylinder heads. NA engines have a smaller oil pump. The 9 uses a four blade water pump rotor, the 14 has 8 blades. The radiator is thicker on the 14.
I'm sure there are a few more differences that I've missed.
