Both sides of the TA wear out eventually, high torque loads on the both sides will wear that side out earlier. That has been documented with many more TA failures on the higher horse power tractors and using them on heavy loads. A 3588 does have enough traction and power to put a lot of strain on them, 706 does not but they still eventually give up, especially the low side sprag from overrunning while using high side. Shift them briskly but like any clutch, going up, don't slam them and don't pull back to brake a coast. Common sense.
