A former Son-in-Law got my CIH 895 Utility in 2 gears at once and let out on the clutch. Now I have a knock in the transmission. Is this something that I can fix. I have an I&T manual and the IHC or Case IH repair books and it looks like it is fairly easy to take off the top cover of the transmission but I have never done it and am more than alittle concerned about getting in way over my head. Or is this something that has to be fixed by taking the transmission apart, splitting the tractor? I am still using the tractor but it is getting worse all the time. It is especially bad in "2" gear. High or low seems to be about the same. I would asppreciate any advice. Thanks.
