I made up a tool that was just a big nut (about 1 1/4" across the flats) with a piece of key steel that fitted the slot welded to it, blocked the pto shaft with an old pto yoke with a round bar through it so it hit the drawbar, and got my 3/4" drive breaker bar on a socket that fitted the nut I used, once free it spun off with my fingers.
