Lame? Define lame! What work have you done to the engine beside the manifolds? What is the compression? Have you had the tractor on a dyno? No amount of straight pipes, glasspaks, or open mufflers is going to make an engine sound good unless it has been tuned on a dyno AFTER your engine work has been completed. Also the engine should be checked again AFTER it has been worked under load to seat the rings and valves have been readjusded and other minor adjustments have been rechecked. The Tractor Vet and others will no doubt have some other ideas about this as well. Armand
