With engine off, and battery with charge, loosen one cable at the battery. Watch the gauge and tap the cable on the post of the battery. if the meeter wiggles from zero to negative there is a system drain. If there is not, the needle is just a little off, and there is no drain. The battery is bad. If there was a drain (meter wiggled) do the following: If it has a voltage regulator (many do some do not), remove the Bat wire from the Voltage regulator and watch the needle. if it wiggles, the VR is either bad, or is a unit designed for 6v negative ground with solid state components that will draw current. Replace it. If it has a cutout relay, disconnect the Bat wire at the cutout. Watch the meter if it wiggles the cutout is bad. If it does not, the issue is in the light switch causing the lights to get voltage when they should not. Jim
