The Hitachi from a mid 80s Nissan Pu is a great choice. It is small enough to allow some adjustment. A Delco10SI will fit, but touch both the hood and block, making belt adjustment less desirable. The Hitachi has 3 terminals, the big stud goes to the Amp meter (load side) the S terminal goes directly to the stud, and the L terminal goes to a diode, idiot light, or 10 ohm 10 watt resistor), then to the ignition switch. The diode should be 3 amp, 50 PIV with the band marking on the end attached to the L terminal. These three options keep the tractor from running with the key off. Jim
