You know how you sit kind of sideways so you can look forward and backward.... well, that puts your left knee pretty much in line with the clutch handle. After one time, you figure out a position so you aren't sitting like that. Dad and my uncle both got badly bruised knees from them. Personally, I was too young to plow with that tractor, but later I did a lot with another 60 and first an Oliver "rooster comb" and then an IH hydraulic plow which I bought when I (in 1960 as a Sr. in HS) rented some farm ground from the local banker.
